Teen Council
The Equality Crew’s teen council is an exciting leadership opportunity for LGBTQ+ teens and allies in 7th-12th grade in Northwest Arkansas
This unique group will help inform teen programming for The Equality Crew and have the opportunity to build community with other LGBTQ+ teens and foster the skills and tools to be leaders in their community.

By being a Teen Council member, you will have the opportunity to volunteers with The Equality Crew, hours that are both fun and can count towards your school’s graduation requirements!
Professional Development
This opportunity is perfect for a high school senior prepping for college or a freshmen still uncertain about what they want to do. Develop professional skills and find your perfect career path!
Develop Community
Teen Council is all about connecting with like-minded people at similar stages of life. Come together and talk about joys and challenges, all for the purpose of imagining a better world.
Help Plan Prom!
The Teen Council will take on a leadership role, learning about event planning, logistics, organization, all while having fun and shaping what the evening will look like for their friends.
Teen Council members will choose the theme and help make important decision such as food, venue, and decorations.

The Logistics
Timeline
Teen Council operates via a semester schedule. Teens must apply or express interest before the first meeting.
The next meeting will occur in January of 2025.
Meetings
Teen Council meets monthly. While some meetings may occur virtually, all council members are expected to attend in-person meetings as well. Locations for these meetings will vary month to month
